By playing games on the Stadia Testing System, you can acquire achievements.

Through the new trial system, players would have access to a game demo until they completed a given task or played for a set period of time.

Google has announced that it will be launching a new game trial system that would allow users to play certain game demos until they unlock specific achievements on Stadia.

It has been confirmed that half of the players who have access to Control and Sniper Elite 4 trials will be invited to play a demo version of the game until they unlock specific achievements (via GameDeveloper) or reach a predetermined time limit. The trials for these games start testing the following week.

In an interview with MerciXo, a Google representative confirmed the time constraint for the achievement-based demo system. Demos may sometimes last longer than an hour because developers typically decide how long they want them to be. For example, there are ninety minutes in Sniper Elite 4.

Gamers can play demos for as long as they want under the new method, provided they meet specific achievements. In order for the Stadia team to monitor the effects of the new trial length statistic, the players involved will be divided 50/50. After completing the first mission, players can continue playing Sniper Elite 4 until they receive the "Beginning of the End" achievement.

Although players will have access to a game demo, they will not be able to restart it because their progress is linked to their Google account. According to Arden Aspinal, head of the Rebellion North studio, the unrestricted demo for Sniper Elite 4 would allow gamers to sample both the game and the series before purchasing.

At the very least, we are offering as many people as possible the opportunity to spend time with the game, he continued. "If any of these gamers convert to full-fledged Sniper Elite players and enthusiasts, that would be fantastic," he remarked.

According to Stadia Senior Product Manager Karan Arora, the concept for the new trial system was motivated by "significant achievements" made by creators "that demonstrate what playing their games is all about."

Giving development teams the opportunity to focus on those memorable, enduring moments with new users is an exciting experiment for us, he noted, "especially when it needs minimal developer effort to activate."
